These Hahoe-tal (Hahoe masks) are smaller versions of those used in the
Tal-chum (mask dance). They are the Yangban, or aristocrat on the left and
Bu-ne, or flirtatious young woman, on the right. The Hahoe masks have been used in the traditional Korean mask dance since the Chosun Dynasty.
